Ace Bailey honoured in Bracebridge as the Toronto Maple Leafs celebrate 100 years

Bracebridge-born Ace Bailey will be recognized for his time with the Toronto Maple Leafs during a ceremony in Bracebridge this Friday.

Bailey was one of the first Toronto Maple Leaf players when the team name was changed from Toronto St. Patricks during his first season in 1927.

Bailey is one of 18 original players being recognized by the team as the Leafs celebrate 100 seasons.

One of the original Air Canada Centre banners will be sent to Bracebridge to hang above the walking path entrance to the Bracebridge Falls on Wharf Road.

The ceremony will kick off at noon and everyone is invited to attend.
