Fire Danger Rating pushed back up to high as heatwave continues to plague the region

The hot weather cooking the region is not doing any good for our Fire Danger Rating in Muskoka.
Fire officials have recently changed the rating back to high due to the high temperatures.
This means small fires will be permitted, but you need to take extreme caution when around open flames.
Officials says you should have the right tools and water to be able to put out the fire quickly if need be.
You must always be near the fire as long as it is burning.
Most importantly, there is no daytime burning allowed and you should check with your local municipality to confirm the rules of burning in your specific area.
