The Bracebridge and Huntsville OPP will be out and about this long weekend making sure people are slowing down, and moving over.
In 2015, the law was amended to include slowing down, and moving over for tow trucks parked on the roadside with amber lights flashing.
Police are counting on drivers to act on this law to ensure the safety of everyone.
Officials say since 1989, five officers have died when their roadside car was struck by approaching vehicles.
The OPP will be out on roads, waterways and trails over the weekend, so that everyone can enjoy it and make it home safely.
