Amber Alert Ontario now on Twitter

Amber Alert Ontario has just launched their twitter account. Provincial Coordinator Sergeant Steve Monpetit says since everyone is wirelessly connected, Twitter is a great way to get the information out to the public quickly.

Monpetit also says this has been part of a multi-year effort to engage the public.

The launch of the new Twitter account coincides with this Sunday’s National Missing Children’s Day. Meantime, the Ministry of Transportation is also on board to help Amber Alert Ontario. If you’re driving and see an Amber Alert on highway signs, you can call 511 if you have any information about the Alert.
