Construction Near for Dorset Museum

The Dorset Museum Committee is getting closer to building an addition.

This comes after the township of Algonquin Highlands passed a resolution on May 19th, approving the retention of an engineer for the preparation of engineered drawings.

Last Thursday, the museum committee submitted three quotes for council to approve.

Granite Engineering Services has been hired for $7,500 which includes four site inspections, engineered drawings, and a site plan.

If council approves the addition it will be an 800-square-foot space for additional displays, a fire-secure storage for records and a workspace.
