Almaguin Highlands track and field students moving on to OFSAA provincial championships

Students from Almaguin Highland’s track and field team are moving on to the OFSAA provincial championships in Mississauga next week. Yesterday, athletes competed in Toronto for the OFSAA Central Regional Track and Field Championships. Highlights include: Aiden Anger who placed second with a personal best throw in junior boys’ discus; Hudson Booth who placed third in the 100 meter ambulatory dash; Krysten Walking Shaw who placed third in the junior girls’ pole vault; and Darryl Gordier who won the senior boys javelin with a throw of 48.71 meters. On Thursday, a fresh group of Almaguin track and field athletes will be returning to Toronto to compete at day 2 of the Regional meet.
