It was a great weekend for a triathlon according to Ironman Muskoka.
On Sunday, the Ironman 70.3 was held in Huntsville where over 1,600 athletes competed in the race.
With part of the track coming through downtown Huntsville and heading out towards Dwight, General Manager Myke Malone says he’s heard great feedback about the event.
Malone says as long as the registration numbers continue to climb for triathlons, we could see the full-Ironman comeback.

The weekend also included a Saturday morning IronKids Race followed by the Rotary DockFest.
Malone says he would like to have both organizations come together again for next year’s race.
