Rainfall warning continues across the district

Keep your umbrella handy because we are in for a downpour in Bracebridge. The rainfall warning continues for Parry Sound-Muskoka. Up to 35 millimetres total is expected today with risk of thunderstorms. Environment Canada says this amount of water can cause flash floods and water pools on roads. If you’re out driving, you might want to take it easy on the roads, especially if you see a massive puddle. Watch out for washouts as well. If you’re home is prone to flooding especially in the basements, you might want to move any belongings off the floor that could be at risk. It looks like the rain will taper off Friday.
