The way Muskoka provides healthcare may soon change for the better.
The North Simcoe Muskoka Local Health Integration Network has approved the formation of a Muskoka and Area Health System Transformational Council.
The group will allow several health partners and experts to develop new and more streamlined healthcare initiatives. It will send reports to the LHIN on how to best serve Muskoka and the surrounding areas. The reports will include recommendations for a Transformed Health System Model for the Muskoka area.
The council is expected to have its first meeting this August.
