An Uxbridge man has been arrested following an investigation by the Anti-Rackets Branch of the OPP.
Sixty-five-year-old John Graham Simmonds was charged with fraud, theft and money laundering.
Police say between 2009 and 2011 Simmonds had attempted to purchase the Fanotech Group of companies.
The group has locations in Bracebridge and Huntsville and is responsible for manufacturing garbage trucks and waste receptacles.
Simmonds will make his first appearance in court in Bracebridge on July 26th.
