The Mayor of Huntsville says he has been in discussion with numerous parties looking to develop on abandoned properties in town.
With the former Mac’s Convenience Store transformed into the Annex at the library, the next step is to redevelop other properties in the same section of town.
Mayor Scott Aitchison says he’s already had discussions with groups looking to develop on the old Empire Hotel lot.
The mayor says he will continue to work with groups or individuals interested in the property.
