Town of Huntsville Removes Potentially Diseased Trees from River Mill Park

A potential disease is what caused the Town of Huntsville to remove two trees in River Mill Park.

At town councilĀ on Monday night, a concern was raised by councillor Bob Stone, wondering why trees were removed. Executive Director of Community Services, Kari Lambe told council it was because of the potential disease and staff didn’t want it to infect the other trees in the park.

Huntsville Mayor Scott Aitchison told council Sandhill Nursery has offered to replace the removed trees.
