Bracebridge Municipal Office to become host to a new MAC exhibit

The Town of Bracebridge is about to embrace its artsy side with a new exhibit opening at the Municipal Office.

On July 6th, Bracebridge officials will be inviting art enthusiasts to visit a display that is the collaboration of the town and Muskoka Arts and Crafts.

Members of MAC have created specific art pieces to beautify the hallways of the newly renovated office.

Mayor Graydon Smith says this display will be a show of support for local artists and the ongoing relationship between the town and MAC.

According to officials, the town and MAC have been working together since the 60’s with various partnerships including opening the Chapel Gallery in the late 80’s and in 2011 when the town sent 16 artists to Toronto to promote arts of Muskoka.

MAC Executive Director Elene Freer says a venue such as the Town Hall is an excellent place to connect the public with art.

The exhibit opening gala starts at 5:30pm.

This art show will continue until October 12th, and then a new exhibit will replace these pieces in the office hallways.
