No homes were damaged after a brush fire in the Township of Muskoka Lakes.
Crews were called to Breezy Point Road in the Walker’s Point area early yesterday morning when a campfire reignited. As the fire department arrived, neighbours in the area managed to keep the fire contained. After three hours, the fire was fully extinguished by the fire crews. The forest has surface damage.
The fire department is reminding everyone the fire danger rating remains at high. Open air burning is still allowed, but caution is advised due to the dry conditions.
