Hundreds of bikers send message to the province over Bala Falls proposed dam

A large group of motorcyclists have now joined the cause to protect Bala Falls.
On Saturday, hundreds of bikersĀ arrived at the Precambrian Shield Parking lot just outside the community.
Second Officer of the Mississauga Chapter of the Canadian Motorcycle Cruisers Brad Gillies says when he read about the proposed damĀ he knew he had to do something.
Gillies took to Facebook to start an event inviting his chapter members to come show their support.
By the time the event rolled around, Gillies says nearly 300 people had showed interest in coming up to Bala.
Gillies says now they’re sending one message to the province.
Organizers with SaveTheBalaFalls.com hope this will show the Wynne Government that it’s not just locals that are opposed to the dam.
