A few municipalities in the Muskoka region are banning fireworks this weekend due to the high fire danger rating.
Muskoka Lakes Township and the Town of Kearney have banned all fireworks for this weekend.
Muskoka Lakes fire officials say if this high rating continues into next week it will impact celebrations on Canada Day weekend.
The Town of Kearney is also banning all fires according to the fire chief.

Meanwhile, the fire danger rating has been set to extreme in Parry Sound which means the entire region is under both a fire and fireworks ban for both day and night.
There is no word on if this ban will affect celebrations in Parry Sound next weekend.
