MAHC Tobacco Cessation Task Force recognized for its hard work

Quitting smoking is difficult to do, but Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare now has an award-winning team to help you do it.
The Tobacco Cessation Task Force was recently recognized as the 2016 Tobacco-Free Champion by the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit.
Officials say the task force, made up of hospital staff and physicians from both Muskoka hospitals, has played a vital part in bringing both buildings to a smoke-free status.
The team has also helped smoking patients who are being admitted to the hospital slowly break the habit.
MAHC CEO Natalie Bubela says she is very proud of the work this task force has done to help patients and other staff quit smoking.
