An annual Fastball Tournament is expected to bring a lot of sports tourism to Bracebridge this weekend.
On Friday, the Bracebridge Men’s Fastball League Invitational kicks off with 24 men’s and women’s teams coming from across Ontario.
This year, the Boston Pizza Fastball Club will be running the weekend event.
Team member and media rep for the league Ken Veitch says everyone is invited to attend the special event.
The Town of Bracebridge is supporting the event with a $500 donation to help with hosting the out of town teams.
Friday the event runs from 6:30pm to 10:00pm and Saturday it kicks off at 9:00am and runs until 6:00pm for the championship game.
Peake Fields gravel lot should be completed by the weekend and Veitch says there will be extra parking at Rocky Island Tire with signs indicating where to park.
