Bracebridge roadwork expected to run until the end of August

There will be some construction taking place on a few roads around Bracebridge starting today.

The town has hired Premiere North Ltd and Fowler Construction to begin work on roads like culvert replacement, pulverization, ditching and paving.

Work is expected to run until the end of August.

During this time there may be lane closures and delays on these specific roads:

  • Germania Road from Highway 118 East to Peterson Road for culvert replacement and roadside ditching
  • Catharine Crescent and Daniel Drive for pulverization, base stabilization, gravel, culvert replacements, roadside ditching and hot-mix asphalt pavement
  • McCrank Drive for pulverization, base stabilization, gravel, culvert replacements, roadside ditching and hot-mix asphalt pavement
  • Westvale Drive from Glendale Road to 100m west of Sugarbush Lane for pulverization, base stabilization, gravel, culvert replacements, roadside ditching and hot-mix asphalt pavement
  • Bird Lake Road for pulverization, base stabilization, gravel, culvert replacements, roadside ditching and double hi-float surface treatment
  • Fredrick Street from Morrow Drive to Spence Lake Road for pulverization, base stabilization, gravel, culvert replacements, roadside ditching and double hi-float surface treatment
  • Spence Lake Road from Fredrick Street to the end for pulverization, base stabilization, gravel, culvert replacements, roadside ditching and double hi-float surface treatment
