On June 22nd break out your bike, skateboard, scooter, roller blades or favourite pair of walking shoes and Walk n’ Roll to school.
The Town of Bracebridge is partnering with Trillium Lakelands District School Board and Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board to offer the active transportation event.
Students will be invited to choose to make their way to school using a form of active transportation be it on wheels or on foot.
At 8:00am, parents, teachers and students will begin a Walk n’ Roll School Bus as they come together on their mode of transportation to travel to school.
At 8:45am, each school will kick off their own version of the Walk n’ Roll events.
These events will address physical activity, pedestrian safety, traffic congestion and being environmentally friendly.
For more details you can contact the town at 705-645-5264 extension 251.
