The Child Advocacy Centre of Simcoe/Muskoka has been honoured by the province for its dedication to helping victims of crime.
The organization is one of the 15 groups honoured by the province for its approach to raising awareness about these issues. The centre in Orillia was founded in 2014 and is the only advocacy centre in Ontario to offer abuse prevention programming.
So far, over 15,000 children and youth have taken part in these education programs.
