Allergens Causes Three Lakes to Close Overnight Camping in Algonquin Park

Allergen in the water is what is causing three lakes in Algonquin Park to close down overnight camping.

Earlier this week, park officials announced the closure of overnight camping in Ryan Lake, Dickson Lake and Hardy Bay due to public health concerns. The cause has been determined to be pollen in the air and water-based allergies in the water.

Visitors are still allowed to travel through the area to get to other lakes and sites.

Campsites on Lake Lavieille connected to Dickson Bay remain open.
