Greg Knight is taking the initiative to provide more affordable housing with a creative twist.
Knight’s contracting company was hired to remove a house in Port Carling by the Muskoka Lakes Township in order to build a parking lot on the property.
Rather than demolishing the 140-year-old house, Knight decided to move it to a new location.
Knight purchased the new lot and moved the house onto it, and now owns the entire property.
He plans to either rent or sell the property as an affordable housing unit.
