Town of Huntsville to Receive Heritage Photo on Swing Bridge

There will be a heritage photo placed on the north side of the swing bridge in Huntsville.

During Tuesday night’s council meeting, staff heard from Karen Burns, Diane Thoms and Suzanne River as they revealed a black and white photo of two original settlers Gordon and Maxine Thoms.

The picture shows them in their canoe on Thoms Bay in Mary Lake. It was requested to be placed on the bridge facing the town docks.

Council unanimously approved and local business Pipefusion will assist in mounting and framing the nine by 12-foot photo.
