Brush Fire in Huntsville Causes $30,000 in Damages

$30,000 in damages has been done to a workshop and a vehicle after a brush fire in Huntsville.

The Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Department teamed up with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry yesterday afternoon when a brush fire had spread in the area of Brunel Road. Officials say the fire was believed to be started by a trespasser on the property burning during restricted hours.

The fire grew to approximately two hectares in size before it was controlled by the fire crews.
