Officials with Muskoka Algonquin Health Care are celebrating success with their electronic health record project.
In April, MAHC was recognized for implementing the new Cerner Electronic Health Record system, which connected records from nine chart systems between the two hospitals.
These various systems are used in almost all of the clinical areas of the hospital, and the new system is now able to provide more detailed information to clinicians on their patients.
MAHC was awarded second place during the Advancing Clinical Excellence Gala in Quebec.
The award comes with a $1000 donation which was split between Huntsville and South Muskoka Hospital Foundations.
