Large Grass Fire Closes Highway 11 South Bound in Gravenhurst

Fire crews are currently responding to a grass fire in Gravenhurst.

Firefighters from Gravenhurst, Muskoka Lakes, Bracebridge and Severn are assisting with the blaze. The fire is adjacent to the rail lines southbound on Highway 11 at Bethune Drive.

These fires are currently being controlled and have not affected any buildings in the area.

The OPP says Highway 11 at Bethune Drive has reopened.  Winhara remains closed.
