Muskoka officials to mark drinking water sources across the region

The District of Muskoka is getting serious about municipal drinking water sources.

Over the spring, district officials will be installing signage to bring awareness to residents and visitors about drinking water source areas.

This will also be a valuable asset to emergency workers to prevent contamination of drinking water if there is a chemical or gas spill.

The signage project is in partnership with the Severn Sound Environmental Association.

Gravenhurst, the Township of Muskoka Lakes and the Township of Georgian Bay have been designated as Risk Management Officials for the SSEA.
