Gravenhurst fire officials are reminding residents about the guidelines to follow when under a daytime burn ban.

There is absolutely no burning allowed during the day until two hours before sunset and only until two hours after sunrise.

Fires should be more than 15 metres from a vehicle or structure and more than five metres from a forest or brush.

You should have a large water supply nearby and someone should always be near the fire.

If you don’t follow these guidelines you can be fined by the fire department.

The daytime burn ban runs until October 31st.
