Police Reminding Residents to Protect Properties from Bears

Bears are starting to come out of hibernation and police are passing along tips to keep those furry creatures off your lawn.

With the temperatures starting to rise in Muskoka, police are asking everyone to make sure you are taking the right precautions to stay safe around bears. This includes storing garbage in a safe place with tight-fitting lids, putting away all bird feeders as seed, suet and nectar attract bears and lastly, clean outdoor barbecue grills after each use.
