The Town of Huntsville believes there are other areas to improve parking in the downtown area.
After the town decided to not go through with the increase in parking at River Mill Park, a public meeting will be held where ideas are expected to be presented to find other options. Huntsville Mayor Scott Aitchison says there is one idea he likes and it’s for High Street to become one way.
He believes another good area is the former lot of the Empire Hotel.
The town ended up only increasing green space in River Mill Park and improving the drainage and sewage.
