Vehicle Roll-Over near Novar Ends in Impaired Charges

Police have arrested one man after he entered an inspection station north of Huntsville looking for directions.

Officers were assisting the MTO with commercial vehicle inspections at the Highway 11 inspection station near Novar when a driver entered the station looking for directions. Police suspected the driver had been drinking alcohol when he drove back onto the highway.

Police attempted to stop the driver, he exited at Waseosa Lake Road, failed to stop at the stop sign and rolled the vehicle into the ditch.

The 34-year-old man from Etobicoke was not hurt but was charged with impaired driving, flight from police, open liquor and disobeying a stop sign.

He is expected to appear in a Huntsville court in June.
