Spring Season on hold in Algonquin Park

The ice is beginning to melt in Algonquin Park but facilities remain closed.

Park officials say due to the ongoing cool temperatures mixed with snow and ice conditions the scheduled opening for facilities has been pushed to May 4th. This includes back country canoeing campsites, all ranger cabins, portages and access points.

Officials say campgrounds such as Rock Lake, Tea Lake and Kiosk which includes the ranger cabin are now open.
