Crime Stoppers Recap First Quarter for Simcoe-Dufferin-Muskoka

The first quarter numbers are in for Crime Stoppers in the Simcoe-Dufferin-Muskoka area.
From January to March, officials received 428 new tips and more than 577 follow-ups to existing tips. The calls assisted police in clearing 91 cases resulting in 43 arrests and 122 charges. Some charges include controlled drugs and substances, criminal code and highway traffic act.
Tips to the organization also helped police recover over $200,000 in illegal drugs and property.
