Gravenhurst prepares for possibility of flooding during heavy rainfall

You’ll definitely need your raincoat this morningĀ as Muskoka is being hit with a very heavy rainstorm.

But, some municipalities are more concerned about flooding in more low-lying regions.

Director of Infrastructure for Gravenhurst Andrew Stacey says if that possibility becomes a reality, the town is prepared.

Stacey says they will be monitoring areas like Black River, Cache Lake and Severn River tonight and tomorrow morning.

Environment Canada is calling for up to 60 millimeters of rain by Thursday afternoon.
