Environment Canada says a winter storm is on its way.

Officials say a system is building up and is on its way for most of Parry Sound-Muskoka. Meteorologist Geoff Coulson says we should see close to five centimeters of snow today and even more expected for Thursday.

Coulson says we could see more flurries for several more weeks.

He adds temperatures will stay around the freezing mark. Which means the snow, won’t be melting anytime soon.

Environment Canada is advising motorists to prepare for the conditions as hazardous winter driving is expected.
