OPP on the lookout for distracted drivers in Muskoka

Drivers are reminded to pay attention behind the wheel.

Bracebridge OPP will be stepping up enforcement starting today for Distracted Driving Week running until Sunday.

While police are committed to raising awareness about the dangers of driving while distracted this March Break, they are also enforcing legislation that carries a set fine of $490 and 3 demerit points.

Police are serious about this deadly driving practice, and the OPP is hopeful that higher fines will help reduce the number of distracted driving-related deaths and collisions on Ontario roads.
