Bracebridge woman competes in Boston Marathon

A local athlete is home again after competing in her first Boston Marathon. The race was held at 10am on Easter Monday. Marie Malcom who is from Bracebridge says it was an honour to be a part of the experience, while making a tribute to all those affected from last year’s tragedy.

Last year’s bombing killed three people and injured hundreds of others. While the investigation continues police have arrested Dzhokhar Tsarnaev who sits in federal custody awaiting his trial. His older brother Tamerlan is believed to be responsible for planning and executing the tragedy and is dead after a long battle with police.
