Beer Store bottle drive raises thousands for Bracebridge man with cancer
A local man and his wife are thanking the community after this weekend’s Beer Store bottle drive in Bracebridge raised $9,231.10. Gary Gibson lives with brain cancer. His wife Heather says Doctor’s have removed 30 percent of his tumor and say he could live for another two years. More from Heather.
She also adds that since Gary’s medical treatment began, they’ve had to make a lot of sacrifices. She has quit her job and Gary’s had to tap into his pension early. For information on how to make a donation to help with Gary’s cause visit their Facebook page.
