Snow and possible freezing rain heading for Parry Sound and Muskoka

More wintery weather is heading toward Parry Sound and Muskoka.  A special weather statement has been issued for the Town of Parry Sound, Rosseau, Huntsville, South River, Burk’s Falls, Killbear Park, and Baysville as snow and freezing rain is on the way.  Meteorologists say an arctic cold front is expected to move southeast across the regions tonight, then stall on a line from the Bruce Peninsula across Georgian Bay to the east end of Lake Ontario on Sunday.  A disturbance will track east along the line of the stalled front and spread a few centimetres of snow and ice pellets into the regions by Sunday.  Travelling conditions are expected to deteriorate tonight and Sunday after the precipitation moves in and motorists should take extra time to reach their destination.  More details are expected to be released once the weather event comes closer.
