Man charged with careless driving after being seen eating while driving erratically on Hwy 11

A North Bay man’s been charged with careless driving after he was seen eating while driving erratically on Highway 11. The OPP say it happened just before noon in Severn Township on April 20^th. The man was traveling southbound and the vehicle was seen weaving in its lane. When an officer pulled up beside him, the man was seen with his head down and eating out of a fast food container in one hand and a fork in the other. Police remind that distracted driving involves more than talking or texting while driving. You can be charged if police don’t think you have proper control of a vehicle.
