Bracebridge’s Emergency Control Group wants you to prepare for more flooding. The group met yesterday and says water levels on the north and south branches of the Muskoka River, the Black River and Lake Muskoka will steadily rise in the next 48 hours. Right now the levels are higher than seasonal norms with flooding expected to continue in the flood prone areas. The good news is that flooding has not reached the same levels as last year, but the group will meet again tomorrow to review conditions. In the meantime, keep your kids and pets away from fast flowing waters.
