An aunt and her nephew are $1 million richer.
Maria Toth of Huntsville and Daniel Bangarth of Komoka won the big money by playing Encore in the Lotto 6/49 draw. Maria says she had the ticket in her purse and forgot about it for two weeks and was shocked when she finally checked it.
Her nephew Daniel says he will be using his half of the money to pay off his mortgage, make investments and to help his children out.
Maria says with her half of the winnings she will make some renovations to her home to make it more comfortable for her husband who has arthritis.
The winning ticket was purchased at Robinsons Independent Grocer in Huntsville.
