Latest update on Bracebridge flood situation

Bracebridge officials say water levels on the North and South Branches of the Muskoka River, the Black River and Lake Muskoka continue to rise. They are expected to continue rising at a moderate rate over the next 24-48 hours. Currently they are higher than seasonal norms and flooding is expected to continue in flood prone areas.
Sand bags are still available for Bracebridge residents from Fowler Construction at 1206 Rosewarne Drive. The Town’s Emergency Control Group will meet again on Friday to review local conditions and determine whether sand bags will continue to be made available for residents.
