Police will be patrolling areas for snowmobile violations this month.
Almaguin Highlands OPP says they will be out enforcing the Trespass to Property Act for drivers using private properties or sidewalks.
Drivers are advised to ride only on their own property, private trails belonging to organizations as long as the driver is a member. Snowmobiles can also drive alongside public roads authorized by the municipality between the shoulder and fence line.
Drivers are also reminded before taking trips to make sure it’s in proper running condition and to always carry an emergency kit.
