Clement acclaimed to represent Conservatives in the riding again in 2015

Parry Sound-Muskoka MP Tony Clement will represent the Conservative Party of Canada in the riding during the 2015 federal election. Clement was the only candidate to put his name forward for nomination to the local Electoral District Association (EDA) and nominations closed last week. Clement says its his honour to continue to serve Parry Sounders and Muskokans in Ottawa. “I am committed to working hard to maintain their trust and confidence,” he said. “With this acclamation, I want to thank the local EDA nominating committee for its vetting and due diligence efforts, and for accepting my candidacy at the close of the nomination process.”

Clement has served as MP for Parry Sound-Muskoka since 2006, and was most recently re-elected in 2011. Along with serving locals in the House of Commons, Clement has also held various Cabinet portfolios since first being elected, and currently serves as President of the Treasury Board.

His dedication to public service spans three decades. During his eight years as an Ontario MPP he held prominent Cabinet positions in the Ontario government, including Minister of Health and Minister of the Environment.
