Council will be funding the Huntsville/Lake of Bays Chamber of Commerce on a few conditions.
During the Town of Huntsville’s regular council meeting, an agreement was made to give the chamber $25,000 for event tourism and marketing from the town’s general reserve fund. This will only be agreed upon as long as the chamber provides a business plan with clear and trackable results.
There will also be a $25,000 event reserve fund where money will only be distributed based on matching funds by corporate sponsorships.
