The plan to add more parking spaces in Rivermill Park has been put on hold.
During their regular council meeting, Huntsville council members deferred the plan until they hear from business owners and the public on the area.
During the general committee meeting earlier this month, council looked at adding around 14 more spaces. Huntsville Mayor Scott Aitchison says council believes it will be better to hear from the community.
He says they will be looking at creating more spaces closer to the town docks.

With the addition of more spaces, council says there will be more green space once construction work is complete.
A report will be brought back to council next month on an updated plan.
