The Dwight Public Library will be expanding.
During the Township of Lake of Bays meeting, council approved a motion to spend $10,000 towards the expansion through the development charges and the library reserve funds. The total cost of the expansion is expected to total around $800,000.
With the expansion, the library will receive a meeting room, technology space, a quiet area, a kitchenette for staff, a washroom and a staff room.
Since the building was built in 1994, the library has only received one renovation.
