A Huntsville councillor wants to represent the town at District level

Huntsville’s councillor John Davis is stepping up to run for District councillor in October. Davis filed his papers last week. Davis says after being a town councillor for eight years, it’s a natural next step.

Davis says he would like to be a part of a review into the day-to-day operations of the District. Davis says reviewing the District’s role in our community would be one of his main focuses should he be elected.

Davis says he would also like to be part of the review of road conditions on a district level. He says roads are one of the most important investments we can make.

Davis currently represents Chaffey Ward. Brian Thompson is the only other person running for District councillor so far. The municipal elections happen this October and residents have until September 12th to file nomination papers.
